Scott Robbins graduated from Argosy University in Seattle with a Masters in Counseling Psychology. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Mental Health Professional, and a Children's Mental Health Specialist. He also has a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Instruction and Curriculum Development from Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has 15 years experience as a public school teacher and 19 years experience as a middle and high school football coach. In addition, Scott was a Young Life Area Director in Lewis County, WA and Sacramento, CA for 8 years. He has been happily married to his wife for over 33 years, and he has three adult children and two grandchildren.
Scott knows that life can feel chaotic and overwhelming at times. As a counselor, Scott is available to work with individuals, groups, and families. Scott's expertise is working with children, teenagers, and families dealing with depression, anxiety, and life transitions such as divorce, death, illness, abuse, suicidal thoughts, and co-parenting issues.
Utilizing behavioral therapy, Scott uses proven techniques to help clients implement impulse control, social skills, emotional coping skills, and functional living skills. Scott is able to utilize behavior therapy techniques with children who have severe emotional disturbances and developmental delays in order to foster self awareness, and works with parents and teachers to implement consistent behavioral techniques at home and at school. Counseling from a perspective of Christian spirituality is available to clients who request it.
